International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence Based Future Technologies in Agriculture
Venue : Hyatt Regency, Pune Date : 07th to 09th, January 2020
Research into Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications for agriculture are still in progress. Some applications are already available in the market and are being rapidly adopted especially in-field farming techniques. In order to explore the enormous scope of AI in agriculture and meet the complex and heterogeneous needs of Indian agriculture, an International Symposium on "Artificial Intelligence Based Future Technologies in Agriculture" will be organized during the 54th ISAE in association with Centre for Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology (CAAST) for Climate Smart Agriculture and Water Management (CSAWM), a World Bank Sponsored Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), National Agricultural Science and Technology (NAHEP) Project at MPKV, Rahuri from 07th to 09th, January 2020
The technologies based on artificial intelligence have many applications in real world and agriculture is no exception. Agriculture being the most complex and heterogenous system, there are numerous challenges to make AI based technologies applicable. Nevertheless, the scientists and practitioners have started to explore the possibilities of developing AI based technologies for agriculture. The International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence (ISAI) 2020 is therefore organized to provide an updated knowledge and forward looking common forum for discussion, debate and networking. The symposium program comprizes of combination of key note speeches of the internationally acclaimed experts specially invited for this purpose, oral presentations of selected papers, posters presentations, brainstorming and exhibition on AI based technologies.
Call for Papers
We invite submission of papers based on one or more themes of the symposium that emphasize new concepts, ideas and new ways for artificial intelligence. Accepted and presented peer reviewed papers will be edited in the proceedings after the symposium and selected papers will also be published in the Journal of Agriculture Research and Technology jointly managed by four agricultural universities in the state of Maharashtra, India. We encourage submission from all areas of artificial intelligence including machine learning, drones, IoT robotics, precision machineries, geo-informatics, mobile and web based applications. The papers from academicians, scientists, researchers, practitioners, policy makers and students are welcome.
Presentation by Students and Best Paper Award
Students are invited to submit the papers for poster and oral presentations. Maximum 12 papers will be selected for oral presentation in students session; and all the remaining papers also including those selected for oral presentation can be presented as posters in poster session. The oral and poster presentations will be evaluated by the International and National experts and the selected best oral and poster presentations will be awarded in different categories.

Events under ISAI 2020
Agriculture being the most complex and heterogeneous system demands utmost attention in changing climatic scenario. Advancement in technological interventions is need of hour to keep the agriculture field flourishing. Many scientists, researchers all over the world are coming up with the innovative technological methodologies such as use of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, Drones etc to make agriculture sector smarter and stronger to cope up the vulnerable impact of predicted climate change. Keeping this in view CAAST-CSAWM project is providing a platform for the students of Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri to obtain information and knowledge and to interact with the experts involved in advanced agricultural research through "International Scientists - Students Interface" .
