In order to achieve objective of capacity building of students, the CAAST-CSAWM has planned the series of hybrid training programmes involving the strong component of International Training at twinning Universities/Institutes/Organizations abroad. First in this series is the hybrid training programme entitled “Drones, AI and Geo-informatics for Climate Smart Agriculture and Water Management” involving one-month International Training program for post Graduate and Ph.D students during 14^th Oct., 2019 to 13^th Nov., 2019 at AIT, Bangkok, Thailand. Prerequisite to this, Two Weeks Pre-training program was organized on “Basics of Drones, AI and Geo-informatics for Climate Smart Agriculture and Water Management” during 18^th Sep. and 01^st Oct., 2019 at Seminar Hall, Dr .ASCAET, MPKV, Rahuri.
        Dr. D.D. Pawar, Associate Dean, Dr. ASCAET, Dr. M.G. Shinde, DDO & Co-PI, CAAST- CSAWM, Dr. S.M. Nalawade, Member, CAAST-CSAWM, Dr. P. G. Popale, Asst. Prof. , Dept. of IDE , All the Research Associates & selected with interested trainees were present for inaugural program. Dr. P.K. Ghosh, National Coordinator, NAHEP- CAAST, New Delhi has guided all the participants through Video Conferencing session.Mr. Bipin Charles, Director, KMS, Bangalore has delivered session on the Applications of Google Earth Engine in Climate Smart Agriculture and Water Management. Dr. S.A. Kadam, Dr.J. Rajesh, Dr. C.B. Pande has delivered the lecture on Basics of Remote Sensing & GIS, theory and practical on ERDAS Imagine software.  Dr. S.M. Nalawade, Er. Y.S. Dighe and Dr. G.B. Bhanage has given the training on the Drones, its operation with rules & regulations. Trainees flown the demo Agricultural drones on field. Dr. S.A .Kadam, Dr. Pradnya Jadhav  and Er. M.A. Tamboli has delivered lectures on Python and JavaScript programming. Er.M.A.Patil and Er. K.S. Borase has guided to the trainees for the Ethics of foreign tour, passport-visa operations.
        This training has given the basic technical knowledge on the concepts of Drone, Remote Sensing, GIS, Google Earth Engine and Python Programming & JavaScript language with its applications in Climate Smart Agriculture. Dr. S.D. Gorantiwar,PI, CAAST-CSAWM and Dr. S. A. Kadam were present at the valedictory function.
